Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 cup carrot, sliced
  • 16 ounces garbanzo beans, drained (1 can)
  • 28 ounces tomatoes, crushed (1 can)
  • 2 cups beef consomme
  • 4 cups beef stock
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 ounces dry ditalini pasta (1/2 cup)
  • 10 ounces frozen peas (1 package)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a Dutch oven, brown meat and add onion and garlic.

  • Step 2: Add carrots, garbanzos, tomatoes, beef broths, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste and dried basil.

  • Step 3: Boil.

  • Step 4: Then simmer 45 minutes, covered.

  • Step 5: After 45 minutes, add ditalini.

  • Step 6: Cook for 10 minutes.

  • Step 7: Add peas and cook 10 more minutes. .
