Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup rice milk
  • 1/3 cup farina
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Topping
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons almonds, flakes
  • 2 tablespoons raisins

How to Make

  • Step 1: In saucepan, bring milk to almost boil, and stir in the cereal using a whisk to break up the clumps.

  • Step 2: Add raisins.

  • Step 3: Stir in the salt.

  • Step 4: Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: In a small saute pan, melt the butter on medium heat and add the cardamon, sugar and nuts.

  • Step 6: Toast for about 2 minutes, being careful not to burn.

  • Step 7: Once the hot cereal is cooked, stir the cardamom/nut mixture into the cereal.
