Ingredients

  • Beans
  • 16 ounces green beans (1 package)
  • 1 pounds red potatoes, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Milk
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk (1 can)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sour cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add potatoes and green beans to large stock pot with water, and seasoning to taste.

  • Step 2: Cook 30 minutes.

  • Step 3: Mix milk and seasonings, making sure to rinse out can with water adding it to pot.

  • Step 4: Simmer 20 minutes more.

  • Step 5: Mix flour in sour cream and add to soup. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened. Don't boil at this point.

  • Step 6: Season to taste.
