Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 7 ounces dry white basmati rice (1 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron, lightly packed
  • 1 tablespoons cardamom pods
  • 1/2 teaspoons whole cloves (they had 2 teaspoons)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat margarine and cook garlic until fragrant.

  • Step 2: Add turmeric, water and swish around.

  • Step 3: Add to rice cooker and add rest of ingredients.

  • Step 4: Cook 20 minutes until rice cooker is done.

  • Step 5: Remove cardamom and cloves.

  • Step 6: Fluff and season to taste.
