Step 1: Combine the flour, salt and pepper.
Step 2: Dredge the pork chops in the seasoned flour.
Step 3: Melt shortening in a heavy skillet.
Step 4: Add floured pork chops.
Step 5: Cook until golden on both sides.
Step 6: Grease the bottom of an oven proof cooking pan. Place the sliced potatoes evenly
Step 7: Across the pan.
Step 8: Top with sliced onions.
Step 9: Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 10: Arrange the pork chops on top of the potatoes and onions.
Step 11: Pour brown gravy over chops and bake in a hot, 400-degree F oven for 1 hour or until the potatoes are done. (it said 300 degrees F oven that's a slow oven so I put 400 degrees watch so they don't dry out) and the chops are tender.
