Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 42 ounces pork chops (6)
  • Dredge
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • Saute
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 3/4 pound potatoes, sliced thin
  • 3/4 pound yellow onions, sliced thin
  • 2 cups brown gravy

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the flour, salt and pepper.

  • Step 2: Dredge the pork chops in the seasoned flour.

  • Step 3: Melt shortening in a heavy skillet.

  • Step 4: Add floured pork chops.

  • Step 5: Cook until golden on both sides.

  • Step 6: Grease the bottom of an oven proof cooking pan. Place the sliced potatoes evenly

  • Step 7: Across the pan.

  • Step 8: Top with sliced onions.

  • Step 9: Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

  • Step 10: Arrange the pork chops on top of the potatoes and onions.

  • Step 11: Pour brown gravy over chops and bake in a hot, 400-degree F oven for 1 hour or until the potatoes are done. (it said 300 degrees F oven that's a slow oven so I put 400 degrees watch so they don't dry out) and the chops are tender.
