Step 1: Grease and flour a 2 quart mold, coffee can, pressure cooker insert or a Rival Bread 'N Cake Bake Pan.(Smaller cans take less time to cook, check sooner)
Step 2: Combine flours, cornmeal, baking soda and salt. Stir in molasses and buttermilk.
Step 3: Transfer batter into mold, cover tightly.
Step 4: Place on trivet or rack in deep kettle.
Step 5: Add enough boiling water to kettle so that the water reaches half-way up the sides of the mold.
Step 6: Cover and steam for 3 1/2 hours, or until done.
Step 7: Remove from mold to cake rack.
Step 8: Serve hot with baked beans.
