Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 18 ounces pie crust (2 unbaked)
  • 1 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 cup water hot
  • 3 tablespoons flour, divided
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup real maple syrup
  • 1/16 teaspoon ground nutmeg

How to Make

  • Step 1: Line pie plate with bottom pastry.

  • Step 2: Store in refrigerator with the top crust until ready to be filled.

  • Step 3: Soak raisins in hot water for 10 minutes, and thoroughly drain.

  • Step 4: Mix raisins with 1 tablespoon flour

  • Step 5: Spread over bottom of pie crust.

  • Step 6: Cream butter.

  • Step 7: Add brown sugar, salt, well-beaten eggs, and the remaining 2 tablespoons flour.

  • Step 8: Beat until smooth.

  • Step 9: Stir in walnuts, a few at a time.

  • Step 10: Gradually add maple syrup and nutmeg.

  • Step 11: Pour mixture over raisins in pie crust.

  • Step 12: Place top crust and trim access and pinch to seal or use a fork to seal edges.

  • Step 13: Set in 450 degree Fahrenheit preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes.

  • Step 14: Lower heat to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and bake 25-30 minutes more until golden.
