Step 4: In a medium bowl, add canned Ortega green chiles undrained, garlic, black pepper, and salt, to taste stirring to combine.
Step 5: Pour hominy mixture into the baking dish.
Step 6: Pour heavy cream and milk over the hominy mixture.
Step 7: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
Step 8: Top with grated cheese and continue baking for 8 to 10 minutes, until mixture is bubbly and cheese is melted.
Step 9: Serve warm.
