The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces bologna
  • 3 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut bologna into 6 pieces.

  • Step 2: Heat bacon grease and fry bologna until cooked but not brown.

  • Step 3: Remove.

  • Step 4: Add flour and brown.

  • Step 5: Add milk and water, whisk until flour is incorporated.

  • Step 6: Add bologna back in and season to taste. We like pepper so we add more.

  • Step 7: Simmer for 10 minutes, adding water as needed.

  • Step 8: The longer gravy cooks the better.
