The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces cube steaks (2 steaks)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce (1 can)
  • 2 ounces sliced mushrooms, fresh
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Step 2: Salt and pepper both sides of cube steaks.

  • Step 3: Put oil in oven proof medium hot skillet, add cube steaks and cook until brown about 4 minutes per side.

  • Step 4: Mix the tomato sauce with the basil, oregano, garlic powder, onion, and mushrooms.

  • Step 5: Pour over cube steaks and put in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.

  • Step 6: Top with the mozzarella, and then the parmesan cheese.

  • Step 7: Return to oven until melted, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 8: Serve over pasta of choice.
