Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Corn
  • 17 ounces whole kernel corn, drained (1 can)
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn
  • Beef
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce (1 can)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Dollop
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups cream-style cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • Topping
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese (1/4 cup)
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded (1 package)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Spread corn in an ungreased, shallow 1 1/2 qt casserole dish. I have added frozen because of the difference in amounts.

  • Step 2: In a skillet, brown ground beef and drain off the excess fat.

  • Step 3: Add flour and cook & stir for 1 minute.

  • Step 4: Stir in tomato sauce, (using water to rinse can.

  • Step 5: Add garlic salt and cinnamon and pour over corn in dish.

  • Step 6: Bake in preheated oven 350 degrees F. for 15 minutes.

  • Step 7: Meanwhile, combine eggs & cottage cheese (I have added flour to firm it up).

  • Step 8: Mix in chives and spread over meat mixture.

  • Step 9: Top with parmesan and mozzarella.

  • Step 10: Bake 15 minutes more.
