  • 2 pounds pork chops (8)

  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 16 ounces red cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups apples

How to Make

  • Pork Chop

  • Step 1: Season to taste.

  • Step 2: Heat oil and butter in a skillet, on the stovetop.

  • Step 3: Fry chops until browned.

  • Step 4: Add wine vinegar and bay leaf and simmer covered until tender for 60 minutes, adding water as needed .

  • Step 5: The sauce should be tight if not, reduce until it is while the meat rests covered by foil.

  • Step 6: Remove Bay leaf 30 minutes into cooking chops.

  • Cabbage

  • Step 7: Heat oil and butter

  • Step 8: Add cabbage and saute on low for 10 minutes covered.

  • Step 9: Add onion seasoning lightly.

  • Step 10: Cook until onions are opaque.

  • Step 11: Add rest of the ingredients simmer cover until chops are done.
