Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces dry potato gnocchi
  • 6 cups water boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic smashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 8 ounces whole mushrooms, cut in half
  • 16 ounces Alfredo sauce (1 jar)
  • Garnish
  • 2 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil a package of gnocchi in heavily salted boiling water until they float then drain.

  • Step 2: Sauce: Heat butter and oil and saute onion until translucent.

  • Step 3: Add mushrooms that have been cut in half or 1/4th so about same size as gnocchi.

  • Step 4: Add garlic and season lightly.

  • Step 5: Add Alfredo sauce.

  • Step 6: Rinse out jar with pasta water and add to pan.

  • Step 7: Add gnocchi and cook until tight.

  • Step 8: Garnish with cheese to taste (they had in casserole cause it was cafeteria).
