Step 1: Saute onions and peppers with 2 tablespoons butter flavored shortening.
Step 2: Remove from the skillet.
Step 3: Add more shortening as needed.
Step 4: Saute chicken in the same skillet with shortening. Remove after heating thoroughly.
Step 5: Saute corn and squash in the same skillet with shortening.
Step 6: Remove.
Step 7: Add more shortening as needed.
Step 8: Fry okra in skillet until golden brown.
Step 9: Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. (Remember these are Southerners, they like more seasoning lol start low and add more if needed).
Step 10: When okra is done, begin adding all the ingredients back into the skillet until reheated to desired temperature.
