  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 dried chili pod
  • 15 ounces tomatoes (1 can)
  • 12 ounces mushrooms (1 can)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Pasta
  • 12 ounces dry spaghetti
  • 6 cups water boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat ground beef, celery and onions and cook until brown.

  • Step 2: Add smashed garlic, spices, tomatoes and mushrooms.

  • Step 3: Simmer for 60 minutes adding water as needed.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile, the last 20 minutes cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente.

  • Step 5: Drain saving 1/2 cup pasta water.

  • Step 6: Add pasta water to sauce and cook until tight.

  • Step 7: Season to taste.
