Step 1: In stock pot, heat butter and add onions.
Step 2: Cook until translucent.
Step 3: Add carrots and turnips.
Step 4: Add seasoning to taste.
Step 5: Add water and lentils, simmer for 60 minutes adding water as needed.
Step 6: Stir occasionally.
Step 7: Add parsley at the very end.
Step 8: Season to taste.
