Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound dry macaroni pasta (cooked and drained)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 yellow onion (halved then sliced)
  • 1 can (28 ounce) diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 4 cups pasta sauce (homemade, or store bought spaghetti sauce)
  • 1/2 cup margarine (or 1/2 cup butter)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook macaroni according to package directions, in salted water.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, in a separate large skillet, over medium-high heat, saute the ground beef, onion, and Italian seasoning for 5-10 minutes, or until meat is brown, and crumbly.

  • Step 3: Drain thoroughly, and leave the meat and onion in the skillet.

  • Step 4: Add the diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauce, and mix well.

  • Step 5: Add butter, and mix, until melted.

  • Step 6: When noodles are done, drain thoroughly, and return noodles to the pot.

  • Step 7: Add the hamburger mixture from the skillet to the pot. Mix well, and season with salt and pepper, to taste.

  • Step 8: Heat until bubbly, then serve with bread and butter or rolls, and your favorite salad.
