Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 1 2/3 cups heavy cream (400 ml)
  • 4 ounces sugar (100 g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup with 1 tablespoon removed milk (200 ml)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur (120 ml)
  • Icing sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. (the original recipe did not specify oven temp)

  • Step 2: Butter each slice of bread and then cut in half into triangles.

  • Step 3: In a bowl whisk together the next 4 ingredients plus the Baileys.

  • Step 4: Layer the bread triangles in a buttered 9 x 12 inch baking dish and then the mixture over the bread and let stand for 30 minutes.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle with icing sugar (confectioners sugar) and bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes or until done.

  • Step 6: Dust with icing sugar and serve with cream or ice cream.
