  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 15 ounces tomatoes, diced (1 can)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook rice in hot shortening (or butter) until opaque.

  • Step 2: Add veggies and beef and cook until beef is browned.

  • Step 3: Add chili powder to taste, beef broth and tomatoes.

  • Step 4: Add seasoning and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Step 5: Cover and simmer for 20 minutes; take off heat and leave covered.

  • Step 6: And let set 5 minutes.
