Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds potatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon onions, minced
  • 2 ounces sour cream (1/4 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Peel potatoes and cut into 1/2" dice.

  • Step 2: Cook in 2 1/2 cups water with the bay leaf, pepper and salt until half done.

  • Step 3: Heat butter and brown flour and onion until medium golden in color.

  • Step 4: Add 1/2 cup cold water and stir till smooth.

  • Step 5: Pour into the pot in which potatoes are cooking and cook over very low heat till potatoes are done.

  • Step 6: Stir every now and then.

  • Step 7: Remove bay leaf.

  • Step 8: In a bowl, well mix the sour cream, parsley and vinegar to taste.

  • Step 9: Pour into the potatoes, bring to a boil, and serve.
