Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 tablespoon chicken fat
  • 2 cups onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds stew beef, cut into small cubes
  • 4 cups beef broth, warmed
  • Vegetables
  • 1 parsnip, peeled, diced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 2 carrots, peeled, diced
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled, diced
  • 28 ounces tomatoes (1 can)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
  • Noodles
  • 16 ounces wide egg noodles
  • 6 cups water boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Get spices ready.

  • Step 2: Season beef lightly.

  • Step 3: Sauté onion and beef until browned.

  • Step 4: Add garlic in fat until browned.

  • Step 5: Stir in spices.

  • Step 6: Add beef broth and vegetables except for potatoes, tomatoes, and parsley.

  • Step 7: Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours.

  • Step 8: Add potatoes and tomatoes and cook 1 hour before you finish cooking.

  • Step 9: Then uncover and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.

  • Step 10: Meanwhile, cook noodles in heavily salted boiling water until al dente.

  • Step 11: Drain.

  • Step 12: Add cooked wide noodles.

  • Step 13: Simmer 10 minutes.

  • Step 14: Garnish with parsley and serve with a good bread.
