Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine syrup, small jar of topping, eggs, sugar and butter in order and beat by hand or at low speed with an electric mixer.
Step 3: Stir in pecan halves.
Step 4: Transfer to unbaked pie shell.
Step 5: Bake in preheated oven 35 to 45 minutes
Step 6: The top will be browned but center will be jiggly.
Step 7: Cool.
Step 8: Then top with whipped cream and chopped pecans
