Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1.25 ounces Chili Seasoning Mix (1 package)
  • 15 ounces kidney beans, drained (1 can)
  • 14 1/2 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained (1 can)
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce (1 can)
  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni, for serving
  • Optional toppings: See Note

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook ground beef and onion in large skillet on medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain fat.

  • Step 2: Stir in seasoning mix, kidney beans, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.

  • Step 3: Bring to boil and then reduce heat to low.

  • Step 4: Cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 5: Stir in cooked elbow macaroni and serve with desired toppings.

  • Step 6: NOTE: Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, saltine crackers, corn chips, olives, avocado and/or green onions.
