Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup Orzo
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch ground cumin
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/3 cup diced green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put water, salt, lemon juice, honey, salt, cumin and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil.

  • Step 2: In the meantime, put Orzo in a dry skillet on med-low heat and stir till it's lightly browned. Add to the boiling water. Cook on med-low heat, covered for 12- 15 minutes till tender.

  • Step 3: While Orzo is cooking, saute onions, peppers, garlic and basil on low till tender.

  • Step 4: When Orzo is done, drain off any excess liquid and then stir in veggies.
