Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 pounds whole chicken
  • 12 cups water
  • Veggies
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/16 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 16 ounces uncooked egg noodles, (3 cups )
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley flakes, minced
  • 1 ounce sherry wine

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook chicken in water until tender.

  • Step 2: Remove and debone.

  • Step 3: Cut into chunks.

  • Step 4: Veggies:

  • Step 5: Saute vegetables in melted butter until almost done.

  • Step 6: Meanwhile, heat chicken stock to boiling.

  • Step 7: In skillet, add flour, curry powder, nutmeg, and pepper; blend well with butter and vegetables.

  • Step 8: To this, add the 3 quarts of boiling chicken stock.

  • Step 9: Stir very well, then add the uncooked noodles, diced chicken, parsley, and wine, stirring occasionally.
