  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 4 ounces heavy cream, (1/2 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put potatoes and lemon juice in a bowl, toss gently and let sit for 10 minutes.

  • Step 2: Drain off excess liquid.

  • Step 3: Add onion, cream, salt and pepper; mix.

  • Step 4: In a medium nonstick frying pan, bring butter to a fast bubble.

  • Step 5: Add potato mixture and cover.

  • Step 6: Cook over medium heat until potatoes are brown.

  • Step 7: Turn potatoes, cover and cook until potatoes are light brown on both sides.

  • Step 8: Remove from pan and cut into squares.
