  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 2 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground

How to Make

  • Step 1: Thaw pastry for 20 minutes.

  • Step 2: In a cup combine sugar with cinnamon and set aside.

  • Step 3: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 4: On a floured surface, roll pastry out to a 12 x 15 inch rectangle and then place it on an ungreased baking sheet.

  • Step 5: Place apples in center and sprinkle with the raisins and cinnamon sugar.

  • Step 6: Brush edges of dough with egg and water mixture.

  • Step 7: Roll up jellyroll-style with seam side down; turn ends under.

  • Step 8: Brush with the egg mixture.

  • Step 9: Make diagonal cuts across top at about 2 inch intervals.

  • Step 10: Bake for 35-40 minutes.
