Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 7 ounce honey crisp apple (1 medium)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1 tablespoon golden raisins (any type)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/32 teaspoon ground nutmeg (a PINCH)
  • 2 cups fat-free plain yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons pecans or walnuts, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Peel, core, and dice the apple. Place in a small saucepan. Add the sugar, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. Toss to coat. Add water and stir to combine.

  • Step 2: Cover and cook over low heat until the apples are soft - about 15-18 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

  • Step 3: To serve, place a cup of yogurt in each of two bowls. Divide the apples between the bowls. Top with chopped nuts and serve immediately.

  • Step 4: For those that like it a little sweeter, a tiny drizzle of honey or maple syrup is really good with this.
