Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups creamed corn
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, sharp, grated
  • 1 (4 ounce) can green chiles, drained

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Grease a 9 inch square baking dish.

  • Step 3: In a bowl combine the first 7 ingredients (-baking soda), mixing well.

  • Step 4: Turn half of the batter into baking dish; cover with half of the cheese and all of the chiles and the then the rest of the cheese. Top with the rest of the batter.

  • Step 5: Bake one hour and let cool 15 minutes before serving.
