Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Steak
  • 2 pounds beef cubed steak, (4)
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Oil
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • Topping
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes, thick, warm
  • Gravy
  • 6 ounces white country gravy mix
  • 4 ounces pork sausage
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces light cream
  • 1 1/2 cup water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Start gravy in skillet.

  • Step 2: Brown sausage.

  • Step 3: Add flour and seasonings, don't brown.

  • Step 4: Add water and gravy mix.

  • Step 5: Stir and cook until thickened adding water as needed on very low heat.

  • Step 6: At the end stir in some 1/2 & 1/2 and heat.

  • Step 7: Season to taste.

  • Step 8: Steak:

  • Step 9: Get three bowls.

  • Step 10: In 1st bowl, flour, seasoning and lightly mix.

  • Step 11: In 2nd bowl, eggs lightly beaten and season.

  • Step 12: In 3rd bowl, bread crumbs and season lightly.

  • Step 13: Heat oil in pan.

  • Step 14: Dip tenderized cube steak in flour then egg then bread crumbs.

  • Step 15: Pound bread crumbs in with hand so they stick.

  • Step 16: Now they might have put in fridge until needed.

  • Step 17: Then put in hot oil, when golden, flip.

  • Step 18: Repeat.

  • Step 19: Plating:

  • Step 20: Put mashed potatoes on plate then steak.

  • Step 21: Pour hot gravy over everything.
