Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces dry medium pasta shells (1 box)
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup onions, minced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, minced
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 16 ounces ricotta cheese, (2 cups)
  • 8 ounces parmesan cheese, (1 cup)
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded, (2 cups)
  • 1 egg

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente.

  • Step 2: Drain.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile, cook ground beef with onions & peppers.

  • Step 4: Season lightly.

  • Step 5: Drain and add your pasta to mixture.

  • Step 6: Save 1 cup sauce for topping.

  • Step 7: Add drained pasta to meat sauce.

  • Step 8: Mix ricotta with one egg, seasoning to taste and 1/2 cup Parmesan.

  • Step 9: Start layer like lasagna.

  • Step 10: Start with sprayed 9x9 baking pan, first pasta sauce, then ricotta dots then mozzarella. 3 layers. Make like lasagna.

  • Step 11: Top with some extra sauce Mozzarella and Parmesan..

  • Step 12: Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees F until hot and bubbly and cheese is melty.
