Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, minced
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 4 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large pot, add uncooked ground beef and cook on med heat until almost browned (still has pink here and there.)

  • Step 2: Add onions, green peppers and garlic and cook till fully browned.

  • Step 3: Drain and return to pot.

  • Step 4: Add tomato paste cook a couple of minutes.

  • Step 5: Add ketchup, honey mustard, brown sugar, and molasses, mix well.

  • Step 6: Add water until the meat is almost fully covered. Reduce heat to med-low, cover, stirring occasionally, for about 1 hour or until all the water has evaporated.
