Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients - ground beef or turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, chopped parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Step 2: Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get approximately 30 meatballs.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, prepare the pepper jelly sauce. Mix together the sweet pepper jelly, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well combined.
Step 4: Place the homemade meatballs into the crockpot.
Step 5: Pour the pepper jelly sauce over the meatballs, making sure they are evenly coated.
Step 6: Cover the crockpot with the lid and set it to cook on low heat.
Step 7: Cook the meatballs in the crockpot for about 4-6 hours, or until they are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly. Gently stir the meatballs once or twice during cooking to ensure they are coated with the sauce.
Step 8: Once the meatballs are done, you can keep the crockpot on the "warm" setting until you're ready to serve.
Step 9: Before serving, garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions.
