The ingredients are:
  • 1 bag (12 ounce) cranberries (frozen or fresh cranberries, pick out and discard all the white and discolored ones)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar (tart use 1 cup/sweet use 1 1/2 cups, I use 1 1/3 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 cup orange juice (use fresh squeezed orange juice, or can use 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup orange juice, using all juice is better)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix all ingredients in a saucepan; bring to boil. Reduce heat to low then while simmering using a fork or potato masher mash the berries for about 10-12 minutes (mashing while the mixture is simmering).

  • Step 2: Cool slightly the refrigerate for about 6 hours or overnight --- to make it smooth you can process the cooled mixture.
