Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 (16 ounce) tilapia fish fillets
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder (or chili powder)
  • 1 teaspoon olive or canola oil
  • 2 cups finely shredded cabbage (or packaged cole slaw mix)
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped (including some of the green tops)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 280 grams tortillas (4 corn or flour tortillas)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the mayo, sour cream, lime juice, green onion, garlic powder and salt to taste. Mix half of the creme mixture with the shredded cabbage and chopped tomatoes. Reserve the rest for spooning on top of the tacos, if desired.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle both sides of the tilapia with chipotle or chili powder. Fry in olive oil for 2-3 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Cut fish into bite sized pieces. Assemble the tacos and enjoy!
