Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 mushrooms, coarsely chopped
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 7 ounces uncooked white rice, (1 cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper ,to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt butter in a covered saucepan over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Cook mushrooms, green onion, and garlic in butter until mushrooms are cooked and liquid has evaporated, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: Add rice and stir.

  • Step 4: Stir in chicken broth .

  • Step 5: Season with parsley, salt, and pepper.

  • Step 6: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.

  • Step 7: Cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.

  • Step 8: Take off heat and leave covered 5 minutes.
