Step 1: Melt butter in a covered saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2: Cook mushrooms, green onion, and garlic in butter until mushrooms are cooked and liquid has evaporated, about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Add rice and stir.
Step 4: Stir in chicken broth .
Step 5: Season with parsley, salt, and pepper.
Step 6: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
Step 7: Cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
Step 8: Take off heat and leave covered 5 minutes.
