Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces rye bread, (4 slices)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ounces feta cheese, ( 1/3 cup)
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (1/2 cup)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/16 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/16 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Butter bread lightly.

  • Step 2: Place on broiler rack.

  • Step 3: In a bowl add the eggs, salt, pepper, feta and grated cheese and mix fully until combined.

  • Step 4: Add a few tablespoons of the mixture on top of each slice of buttered bread and spread it out all the way to the crust.

  • Step 5: On a low rack put your oven on broil and keep a very close eye on them.

  • Step 6: It will take around 10 minutes, but it will really depend on the oven.

  • Step 7: As soon as they are golden and feel firm on top they are ready.

  • Step 8: Sprinkle on dry oregano.
