Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound chicken legs
  • 1/2 pound chicken thighs
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 pound ham bone
  • 1 carrot, peeled, sliced
  • 1 turnip, peeled, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/2 pound potatoes, peeled, diced, (2)
  • 4 ounces dry fideo noodles
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the chicken leg. and thighs and ham bone in the bouillon with the carrots, bay leaf, onion and turnips for 60 minutes on a simmer in stock pot.

  • Step 2: Remove chicken, debone and chop, removing skin.

  • Step 3: Add meat back into broth.

  • Step 4: Add potatoes and noodles.

  • Step 5: Simmer 20 minutes

  • Step 6: Remove ham bone and bay leaf.

  • Step 7: Add parsley and lemon juice.

  • Step 8: Season to taste.
