Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 peaches, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1 cantaloupe, peeled, halved and seeded and then cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • Kosher salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 cup basil, torn (garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat add the sugar, vinegar and peaches to pan and cook for 10-12 minutes or until peaches are softened and reduced by half. this is the agrodolce -- set aside.

  • Step 2: On a charcoal grill build a medium fire (or using a gas grill heat to medium).

  • Step 3: Toss the cantaloupe with oil and working in batches, grill turning once until charred all over (10-12 minutes) and then transfer to serving dish along with the blueberries. Drizzle with the sauce and season with salt and pepper and garnish with basil.
