  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  • Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper to prepare the maple syrup sauce. Set aside.

  • Step 3: Divide the pork sausage into four equal portions and shape them into patties.

  • Step 4: Place the sausage patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

  • Step 5: During the last few minutes of cooking, top each patty with a slice of American cheese to melt.

  • Step 6: If desired, lightly toast the potato buns on the grill.

  • Step 7: Remove the sausage patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
