  • 6 ounces rye bread
  • 6 teaspoons butter
  • Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grainy mustard

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt butter and add flour, season lightly.

  • Step 2: Don't brown just cook flour taste out.

  • Step 3: Add milk and cook until thickened.

  • Step 5: Add mustard 1 tablespoon at a time to get the right flavor. Don't cook because mustard gets bitter.

  • Step 6: Plate: cut eggs in half and pour sauce over equally.
