Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces dry spaghetti
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce:
  • 1 can (28 ounces) tomato puree
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 ounces red chorizo, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne chili ,to taste
  • Garnish:
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut the onion and the bell peppers into cubes and put them in a pan with the oil and season to taste with salt.

  • Step 2: Add the meats.

  • Step 3: Cook until lightly browned.

  • Step 4: Add garlic and tomato paste, and adding the remaining seasonings to taste.

  • Step 5: Add tomato puree and water.

  • Step 6: Simmer until thickened.

  • Step 7: Simmer 30 minutes.

  • Step 8: Meanwhile, cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water al dente.

  • Step 9: Drain, saving 1/2 cup Pasta water.

  • Step 10: When sauce is tight, add pasta and some pasta water.

  • Step 11: Cook until tight again.

  • Step 12: Use parmesan cheese, to taste.
