How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 4: Toast the slices of bread until they are lightly golden and crisp.

  • Step 5: Assemble the open-faced sandwiches by placing a slice of deli meat on each slice of toasted bread.

  • Step 6: Spread a tablespoon of lingonberry jam (or cranberry sauce) on top of each slice of deli meat.

  • Step 7: Place a few roasted sweet potato rounds on top of the jam.

  • Step 8: Top each sandwich with a slice of cheese.

  • Step 9: Place the assembled sandwiches back in the oven for a few minutes, just until the cheese melts.

  • Step 10: Garnish with fresh dill.

  • Step 11: Serve warm.
