  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • GARNISH
  • 2 ounces heavy whipping cream, (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, shelled, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the water.

  • Step 2: Stir in the raisins, cloves, and dates, and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.

  • Step 3: Stirring frequently as not to burn.

  • Step 4: Add the lemon juice and cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to cool.

  • Step 5: Remove the cloves.

  • Step 6: Place in fruit cups with liquid.

  • Step 7: Whip the cream until frothy, then spoon over the dates and sprinkle with pistachios before serving.
