  • 1 large egg white (30 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (40 grams) Honey
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon grated Orange zest
  • 2 cups (170 grams) sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup (80 grams) dark chocolate

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, egg white, honey, melted butter, and grated orange zest.

  • Step 2: Add the sliced almonds and stir until everything is evenly mixed.

  • Step 3: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

  • Step 4: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and drop it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining mixture, spacing the cookies about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.

  • Step 5: Bake one baking sheet at a time for about 20-30min minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

  • Step 6: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool completely.

  • Step 7: Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or a double boiler.

  • Step 8: Spoon about 1/2 tablespoon of melted chocolate onto the bottom of each cookie and spread it evenly.

  • Step 9: Place the bottom of the cookie down on a sheet of parchment paper and let the chocolate set for about 30 minutes.

  • Step 10: Once the chocolate has hardened, the cookies are ready to serve and enjoy!
