Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Step 2: Spoon the two cans of cherry pie filling into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle the box of chocolate cake mix evenly on top of the cherry filling.
Step 3: Using a hand grater grate the frozen butter all over the cake mix. Spread the pecans evenly over the butter and cake mix. Finally sprinkle the sugar over all. Bake for 30-45 minutes. (best served warm with ice cream).
