  • 1 1/2 cups butter, unsoftened, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 3/4 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup chocolate toffee bar, chopped (such as Heath Bar or your favorite chocolate toffee candy bar)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Spray a 12 inch cast iron skillet with cooking spray

  • Step 3: In a bowl of an electric mixer at medium speed beat the butter and brown sugar together until fluffy (3-5 minutes). Add eggs and vanilla and beat to combine.

  • Step 4: In another bowl whisk together the dry ingredients (flour - salt).

  • Step 5: With the mixer on low gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Stir in oats and toffee bits. Press dough into prepared pan and sprinkle with the chopped candy bar.

  • Step 6: Bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
