Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups Jasmine rice
  • 1/2 cup orzo
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2-4 tablespoons diced onion
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder

How to Make

  • Step 1: Using the sauté function on your Instant Pot, melt the butter and sauté the onion until translucent.

  • Step 2: Add the rice and orzo and toast the rice until the orzo it is lightly brown. Don't burn.

  • Step 3: Add garlic and cook until fragrant (30 seconds to a minute)

  • Step 4: Add the chicken broth and bouillon.

  • Step 5: Set lid to sealing and pressure cook for 5 minutes.

  • Step 6: Allow the Instant Pot to sit for at least 10 minutes on natural release before releasing the remaining pressure.
