Step 1: In a large pot, cover the chopped rutabaga with about 1 inch of cold water. Add salt to taste and boil until tender, 40 minutes.
Step 2: Drain and return the rutabagas to the pot.
Step 3: Add butter and mash with potato masher.
Step 4: Add sour cream and seasoning to taste.
