  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 banana,sliced
  • 2 cups strawberries

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Stir in the oats to toast, stirring approximately 3 minutes.

  • Step 3: Add water, milk, flaxseed,brown sugar & kosher salt.

  • Step 4: Turn up the heat, bring to a simmer & cover.

  • Step 5: Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 6: Add banana.

  • Step 7: Cover again and cook for 10 more minutes, stirring occasionally until soft & creamy.

  • Step 8: Add berries just before serving.
